Pochettino’s Perspective on Possible Tottenham Comeback as Levy Reaches Out
Respected journalist Ben Jacobs has provided insight into Mauricio Pochettino’s mindset regarding a potential return to Tottenham Hotspur, as rumors circulate about Ange Postecoglou’s position at the club.
Spurs are currently struggling in 14th place in the Premier League, having lost 13 matches this season. However, several key players are set to return from injury, which could help turn their fortunes around.
While Postecoglou faces mounting pressure, reports suggest that Daniel Levy has compiled a list of potential managerial replacements. Pochettino, who had a successful stint at Tottenham from 2014-2019, has been mentioned as a possible candidate.
However, Jacobs reports that Pochettino is currently content in his role as head coach of the US national team. He is focused on preparing the team for the 2026 World Cup, which the US will co-host. At present, Pochettino has no interest in leaving this position to return to Tottenham, despite maintaining a friendly relationship with Levy.
While Pochettino would be a strong candidate if Postecoglou were to depart, it appears Tottenham may need to look elsewhere for a potential replacement. The Argentine manager seems committed to his current project with the US national team and is not considering a return to North London at this time.
