Pogba Makes Comeback: Signs with AS Monaco After Juventus Exit

Paul Pogba, the former Juventus midfielder, has officially returned to professional football by signing with AS Monaco as a free agent following his doping suspension.

The 32-year-old French international mutually terminated his contract with Juventus in November 2024. After undergoing medical examinations in the past day, Pogba signed a two-year contract reportedly worth €2 million per season. He will wear the number 8 jersey for his new club.

Pogba`s Journey: From Juventus to Monaco

Pogba`s career has come full circle, having initially joined Juventus as a free agent from Manchester United in 2012. He returned to Juventus in the summer of 2022, again as a free agent from Manchester United, six years after his record-breaking €105 million transfer from Turin to Old Trafford.

Unfortunately, Pogba`s second stint at Juventus was marred by a series of injuries and a failed drug test in August 2023. Initially handed a four-year ban for doping in February 2024, his sentence was reduced to 18 months upon appeal in October 2024.

Throughout his career, Pogba made 190 appearances for Juventus and 233 for Manchester United. His move to AS Monaco marks a new chapter in his footballing journey as he seeks to revitalize his career after a challenging period.
