TalkSPORT’s Simon Jordan recently expressed skepticism about Postecoglou’s future at the club, stating he would be surprised if the manager remains in charge next season.
Jordan commented, “They still invest significantly in transfers each season, making it a desirable job for many managers. They will find a replacement for Ange Postecoglou. The question remains whether it will be the right choice and if Daniel Levy will continue making appointments without achieving silverware.”
“However, considering a potential 13th place league finish and exits from cup competitions, except for a decent League Cup showing, it would be surprising if he remains in his position,” Jordan added.
Despite speculation about his long-term position, Postecoglou is reportedly planning for the next season and intends to give a more prominent squad role to young forward Dane Scarlett.
Scarlett, aged 20, was recalled from his loan at Oxford United to assist Postecoglou during an injury crisis. He has since made a positive impression with brief appearances in European matches.
