Premier League Giants Show Interest in PSG’s Luis Campos as Contract Expiration Looms
According to recent reports, Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director Luis Campos has caught the attention of several top Premier League clubs as his contract with the French champions nears its end in June. At least two major English sides are said to be keen on securing Campos’ services, while Saudi Arabia is also interested in involving him in their 2034 FIFA World Cup preparations.
Campos, who joined PSG in 2022 as Leonardo’s replacement, has had a generally positive impact despite some challenges. These include Kylian Mbappé’s potential free transfer exit and a few questionable signings. However, Campos maintains a good working relationship with head coach Luis Enrique.
Sources suggest that Campos is open to extending his stay in Paris. Interestingly, he was absent from recent contract renewal announcements for Luis Enrique and key players, despite playing a crucial role in negotiations. This has fueled speculation about his future.
Despite the uncertainty, Campos is reportedly already planning for the summer transfer window as if he will remain in his position. However, PSG has reportedly made contact with Andrea Berta, the former Atlético Madrid sporting director, possibly as a contingency plan.
As the situation develops, it remains to be seen whether Campos will continue his tenure at PSG or embark on a new challenge in the Premier League or elsewhere.
