PSG Ends Interest in Victor Osimhen, Manchester United May Make a Move
According to recent reports, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has decided to end their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The French club had shown interest in the player last summer but will not be renewing their efforts to sign him at the end of this season.
PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, had been the driving force behind the club’s interest in Osimhen. However, head coach Luis Enrique was less enthusiastic about signing a traditional center-forward, preferring to use Ousmane Dembélé in that role. With Campos’ future at the club uncertain, Enrique now has more influence over transfer decisions.
Despite PSG’s withdrawal, Osimhen may still be on the move. The 26-year-old striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has a release clause of €75 million. Manchester United, who have been interested in Osimhen for several years, are reportedly considering making a bid for the player as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
The Premier League club’s long-standing interest in Osimhen could finally materialize into a concrete offer, especially given their need for a prolific striker. As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Manchester United to see if they make a move for the Nigerian international.
