PSG Extends Invitation to Young Supporter Removed from Aston Villa Match
A recent incident involving a young Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fan being ejected from a Champions League match at Aston Villa’s stadium has sparked attention in France. The boy, celebrating his birthday, was seated in the home section during PSG’s away game. He was forced to leave after showing enthusiasm for PSG’s goals, as English clubs strictly prohibit away fans in home areas.
Following the event, FC Nantes invited the young supporter to watch their 1-1 draw against PSG at the Stade de la Beaujoire. PSG has now also extended an invitation to the 14-year-old and his family to attend a match at their home ground, Parc des Princes. PSG’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, personally issued this invitation. Additionally, PSG defender Lucas Hernandez is reported to have reached out to the young fan.
This gesture by PSG demonstrates their commitment to supporting their fans, even in challenging situations. It also highlights the differences in fan segregation policies between English and French football leagues.
