PSG Manager Cautious Despite First Leg Victory Over Arsenal
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. However, PSG’s manager Luis Enrique remains cautious about the return leg at Parc des Princes.
In his post-match press conference, Enrique commended his team’s defensive performance: “When facing a top-tier opponent, you can’t hesitate about effort. Maximum dedication is required both on and off the ball.”
The Spanish coach acknowledged the precarious nature of their lead: “We’ve achieved our initial goal with tonight’s result, but the tie could easily be leveled with just one goal. We must aim to win the next match and can’t afford to be complacent.”
Enrique drew parallels to their previous round against Liverpool: “We lost at home but won at Anfield. Now we’re ahead, but Arsenal could score in Paris. They have nothing to lose, which makes them dangerous.”
He concluded by saying, “It will be an exciting match for fans, but more challenging for the managers.”
