PSG Signs Kvaratskhelia in Major Transfer Move

Paris Saint-Germain has made a significant splash in the winter transfer market by signing Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli. According to reports from L’Équipe, the deal is worth over €70 million plus add-ons, once again demonstrating PSG’s financial might.

The 23-year-old Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli in 2022 for just €13 million and quickly became a star, helping the club win their first Serie A title in 33 years last season. In total, he scored 30 goals and provided 29 assists in 107 appearances for Napoli.

The transfer came together quickly after Napoli manager Antonio Conte revealed last week that Kvaratskhelia had requested to leave the club. PSG moved swiftly to secure the talented winger, offering him a contract until 2030 with a salary reportedly five times higher than what he earned at Napoli.

Kvaratskhelia bid farewell to Napoli fans in an emotional social media video, saying: “I arrived here as an unknown boy and leave as a man, taking with me the love of so many people, many victories, and especially that long-awaited ‘Scudetto’ that this city has dreamed of for so many years.” He added a cryptic message, stating: “I know you are upset, but one day I will tell you everything.”

With this transfer, PSG adds another attacking talent to their star-studded lineup as they pursue domestic and European success. For Napoli, it marks the departure of their brightest young star but provides a significant financial windfall to reinvest in the squad.
