Following AC Milan`s impressive 3-0 victory against Udinese, key players Christian Pulisic and Matteo Gabbia shared their thoughts on the team`s recent defensive improvements and overall performance.
The Rossoneri have bounced back strongly after a surprising opening defeat to Cremonese, securing three consecutive wins in Serie A. This latest triumph has propelled them above Udinese in the league standings.
Pulisic Emphasizes Consistency
Christian Pulisic, who earned Man of the Match honors with two goals and an assist, stressed the importance of maintaining consistency. “Securing a clean sheet away from home is no small feat. Our five-man defensive setup is working well, and we`re becoming more solid as a unit,” Pulisic stated. He added, “We have a great team, but the key now is to remain consistent, take each game as it comes, and aim for a successful season.”
Gabbia on Defensive Solidarity
Matteo Gabbia, who wore the captain`s armband for the first time, attributed their defensive success to comprehensive team effort. “Our coach instills confidence through our weekly training regimen. I must also commend our forwards; their hard work makes our job easier and strengthens our unity as a team,” Gabbia explained.
When asked about AC Milan`s Scudetto prospects, especially without European commitments, Gabbia remained cautious: “We`re focusing on one match and one training session at a time. We`ll assess our position come springtime.”
As AC Milan continues to build momentum, their improved defensive solidity and attacking prowess suggest they could be strong contenders in this season`s Serie A campaign.
