According to transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, AC Milan forward Rafael Leao has expressed his desire to leave the club in 2025. The Italian giants are reportedly willing to consider offers exceeding €70 million for the talented Portuguese player.

Plettenberg reports that Leao, 25, has already notified AC Milan of his decision to seek a move away from the club. The forward is currently under contract with the Rossoneri until June 2028, with a substantial release clause of €175 million included in his agreement.

While Leao`s release clause stands at €175 million, Milan are reportedly open to negotiations for offers surpassing €70 million. This figure represents the minimum guaranteed amount the club would consider for the transfer of their prized asset.
German giants Bayern Munich are said to be among the clubs monitoring Leao`s situation. However, their interest remains at a preliminary stage, with no formal offer in preparation at this time. The Bavarian club is still evaluating their options for strengthening their left-wing position, with Leao featuring on their list of potential targets.
Despite Leao`s impressive tally of 12 goals and 13 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions this season, Milan failed to secure qualification for European competitions. This disappointing outcome may have influenced the player`s decision to seek new challenges elsewhere.
As Milan prepares for potential departures, the club is also reportedly finalizing the transfer of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City, with medical examinations scheduled for the Dutch player on Sunday.
