Mallorca will receive €200,000 each from Real Madrid and Barcelona as prize money for their participation in the Spanish Super Cup. This information was confirmed by Mallorca director Alfonso Diaz.
Diaz is quoted by Sport.es as saying: “They will share part of the received funds with us and Athletic, but I will not go into details. This is determined by the federation, and although we have not seen the agreement, we made sure that the conditions were the same as last year.”
According to sources, considering the money from Real Madrid and Barcelona, Mallorca will receive a total of €1.3 million for participating in the tournament. Last year, Osasuna received additional payments from other Spanish Super Cup participants.
