Real Madrid is reportedly willing to consider offers exceeding €50 million for midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, as he is no longer viewed as a guaranteed long-term asset. The French international joined the club from Stade Rennes for €31 million approximately four and a half years ago but has yet to firmly establish himself as a consistent starter.
Despite being a France international, Camavinga has struggled to maintain a regular place in the starting eleven since his second season, acknowledging his own issues with consistency recently. The 23-year-old is contracted until 2029, yet Real Madrid is now, for the first time, prepared to entertain bids for his services.
Real Madrid Sets Minimum Price for Camavinga’s Transfer
According to RadioMarca, Camavinga is no longer considered “non-transferable” by the club. While open to bids, Real Madrid aims to secure at least €50 million from his potential sale. This move could potentially finance the acquisition of a new midfielder this summer, with players like Rodri Hernandez and Kees Smit reportedly on their radar.
Premier League Clubs Express Interest in Camavinga
Journalist Matteo Moretto indicates that clubs have already inquired about Camavinga. During the recent January transfer window, Liverpool reportedly showed interest, alongside Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. Although potential exits seem plausible, Camavinga himself has not yet expressed a desire to leave.
Fitness Concerns Affecting Camavinga’s Role
A contributing factor to Camavinga’s situation has been his inconsistent fitness. While he hasn’t suffered major severe injuries, his availability has been intermittent. This season, he has accumulated only 1,685 minutes across 31 appearances. This lack of continuous playtime might partly explain why he hasn’t cemented a permanent starting role.
