Real Madrid Eyes Uzbekistan Defender Husanov
According to reports, Real Madrid is exploring the possibility of signing Abdukodir Husanov, a defender currently playing for Lens and the Uzbekistan national team.
Lens’s CEO Pierre Dreossi recently confirmed that Husanov will definitely leave the club in one of the upcoming transfer windows. The club management hopes that ongoing negotiations will drive up Husanov’s price, potentially securing a higher transfer fee than current offers.
Sources indicate that in addition to Real Madrid, several other top European clubs are interested in acquiring Husanov. These include Manchester City, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, and Newcastle United.
Husanov joined Lens in the summer of 2023, with his contract set to run until 2027. Prior to this, he played for Energetik-BGU in Belarus.
In the current season, the defender has made 16 appearances for Lens across all competitions, scoring one goal. Transfermarkt currently values Husanov at 12 million euros.
