Real Madrid to Hold Presidential and Board Elections on January 7th
Real Madrid has officially announced that the elections for the club’s president and board of directors will take place on January 7th, 2025.
According to a statement released by the club, current Real Madrid President Florentino Perez will convene a meeting of the board of directors on January 7, 2025, at 5:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to initiate the election process for the president and board members who will serve for the next four-year term.
Perez, now 77 years old, began his second tenure as president of the Madrid-based club in 2009. Prior to this, he had already served in the same capacity from 2000 to 2006.
It’s worth noting that in the most recent election held in 2021, Perez was re-elected automatically as he was the sole candidate to put forward his name for the position.
