Real Sociedad Defeats Osasuna 2-0 to Reach Copa del Rey Semi-Finals

Real Sociedad secured a spot in the Copa del Rey semi-finals with a 2-0 home victory over Osasuna in their quarter-final match.

Ander Barrenetxea opened the scoring for the hosts in the 21st minute. Ten minutes later, Brais Mendez doubled Real Sociedad’s lead to make it 2-0.

Osasuna was reduced to 10 men in the 35th minute when Alejandro Catena received a red card, forcing them to play with a numerical disadvantage for most of the match.

Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan, who plays for Real Sociedad, remained on the bench for the entire game.

With this result, Real Sociedad moves on to the Copa del Rey semi-finals, while Osasuna has been eliminated from the tournament.
