Rennes and Sassuolo Target Angers’ Haris Belkebla for Potential Transfer
The January transfer window could bring significant changes for SCO Angers. While their star player Himad Abdelli is reportedly drawing interest from Olympique de Marseille, another Algerian midfielder in their ranks is also attracting attention from other clubs.
Haris Belkebla, 30, who joined Angers on a free transfer in August, has quickly established himself as a key player for the team. His impressive performances in 12 appearances across all competitions have not gone unnoticed.
According to reports, two clubs have expressed interest in acquiring Belkebla’s services. Serie B leaders Sassuolo are keen on strengthening their squad as they push for promotion to Serie A. The Italian club views Belkebla as a potential asset in their campaign.
Meanwhile, in France, Stade Rennais has also identified Belkebla as a possible target. The Ligue 1 club is looking to bolster its midfield options during the January transfer window, and the Algerian international has caught their eye.
As the transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Angers can retain their midfield duo or if they will face the challenge of replacing key players mid-season.
