Rennes Preparing for Future with Habib Beye at the Helm
Stade Rennais is reportedly setting the stage for a future with Habib Beye as their long-term manager. The former Red Star coach, currently on a contract until the end of the season, has an option to extend his stay for another year.
Barring any unexpected changes, Beye is likely to continue as Rennes’ manager into the 2025/26 season. The club has been impressed by his short tenure, during which he successfully lifted the team from a relegation playoff position to 12th place. Beye himself appears content in his role with the Breton club and is eager to continue into the next campaign.
Reports suggest that Rennes has already involved Beye in transfer window planning. The club is also expected to bring in new faces in the management, with RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Loïc Désiré tipped as the favorite to replace Frederic Massara as sporting director. Additionally, Laurent Bessière is expected to take on the role of director of performance.
These developments indicate Rennes’ commitment to building a strong foundation for future success with Beye at the helm.
