Report: AC Milan Planning to Sell Theo Hernandez in 2025

According to growing reports, AC Milan is becoming increasingly frustrated with left-back Theo Hernandez and is preparing to sell him this summer.

The French defender has been involved in several controversial incidents this season, including clashes with opposing coaches and a red card in a crucial Champions League playoff match against Feyenoord.

Milan’s Patience Wearing Thin

The latest incident causing friction occurred when Hernandez asked to be substituted at halftime during a match against Como, citing a calf injury. Milan went on to win the game without him. However, just two days later, Hernandez reported for international duty with France and remained with the squad despite not training.

This behavior contrasts with that of his France teammate Marcus Thuram, who left the national team camp due to an ankle injury to work with Inter Milan’s medical staff instead.

Contract Situation Forcing Milan’s Hand

Reports suggest AC Milan does not intend to renew Hernandez’s contract, which expires in 2026. To avoid losing the player on a free transfer, the club is likely to pursue a sale this summer.

Young prospect Alex Jimenez is being considered as a potential replacement at left-back when Serie A resumes next weekend.

As frustrations mount, it appears increasingly likely that Theo Hernandez’s time at AC Milan may be coming to an end sooner rather than later.
