Sergio Conceiçao, the coach of Milan, is facing increasing pressure. According to reports, the club might decide to dismiss him immediately if the team fails to win against Lecce on Saturday.
The Portuguese coach has been under scrutiny recently. He had to deny claims from his former spokesman who suggested that Conceiçao was deeply unhappy with the team and the club’s management.

It was previously understood that Milan would only confirm Conceiçao as the head coach if he secured Champions League qualification for the next season. This prospect seems increasingly unlikely as they are currently 11 points behind Juventus, who hold the fourth spot.
Pressure Mounts on Conceicao as Milan Could Sack Him Without Win at Lecce
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the management is deeply concerned about the team’s poor performance. A drastic action might be taken if Milan doesn’t recover and beat Lecce after suffering three consecutive defeats in Serie A.
While club directors are still aiming to avoid another coaching change, at least until the end of the season, they are prepared to make significant decisions if Milan experiences another setback. This could also put their qualification for the Europa League in danger.

The newspaper suggests that in a worst-case scenario, the club might appoint Mauro Tassotti, the current coach of Milan Futuro, as a caretaker manager until the end of the season.
