According to Italian media reports, Inter Milan have reached an informal agreement with Nigerian international Ademola Lookman on personal terms. However, the Nerazzurri still need to negotiate a transfer fee with Atalanta before finalizing the deal for the 27-year-old forward.
Corriere dello Sport reported that Lookman has become a top priority for Inter as they look to rebuild their attack following the departures of Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic after the 2024-25 season. Atalanta are reportedly seeking around €50 million for the reigning African Player of the Year, though Inter hope to lower the price to around €40 million.
Sky Sport Italia claims Inter already have the basis of a personal agreement with Lookman in place. The club is reportedly willing to invest €40 million upfront for the transfer without needing to sell any first-team players first. However, they still need to reach an agreement with Atalanta on the final transfer fee.
If a deal for Lookman falls through, Inter are also considering other attacking options including Christopher Nkunku of Chelsea, Nico Gonzalez of Juventus, and Jadon Sancho of Manchester United as potential alternatives this summer.
