Results of Matchday 20 in Spanish Segunda División

The 20th round of matches in Spain’s Segunda División (Liga Hypermotion) has concluded. Racing Santander suffered a heavy defeat away to Elche, losing their lead at the top of the table to Almería. Here are the full results:

With all matches completed, Racing Santander has lost their lead at the top, which now belongs to Almería. Santander suffered a 3-0 defeat to Elche, their fifth consecutive setback in the league. Almería took over first place after a 4-1 away victory against Racing de Ferrol. Deportivo de la Coruña recorded the biggest win of the round, beating Castellón 5-1. Real Oviedo entered the title race with a 3-2 win at Zaragoza, while Sporting de Gijón drew with Mirandés. Eibar lost 2-1 to Córdoba, Málaga thrashed Eldense 3-0, and Huesca moved into the playoff spots by narrowly defeating last-placed Tenerife.

Standings

Almería leads with 38 points, while Tenerife sits at the bottom with 11. The top six are Almería, Racing de Santander, Mirandés, Real Oviedo, Elche and Huesca. The top two would gain direct promotion, while 3rd through 6th would enter the playoffs. Granada and Levante occupy 7th and 8th places. In the relegation zone are Eldense, Racing de Ferrol, Cartagena and Tenerife (with two games in hand). Several postponed matches still need to be played, which could alter the standings.
