According to Italian media reports on Monday, AS Roma has begun discussions with Dutch giants Ajax regarding a potential transfer of Devyne Rensch, a twice-capped Netherlands international.

Roma Seeks Deal for Ajax’s Rensch

Multiple sources, including Gianluca Di Marzio and Calciomercato.com, indicate that the Giallorossi have already reached out to Ajax, aiming to secure a deal for the 21-year-old fullback during the January transfer window.

With Rensch’s contract set to expire in less than six months, he is expected to be available for a relatively modest fee. Roma reportedly values the player at approximately €10 million, considering his contract situation. However, the Italian club is hoping to negotiate a slightly lower price to reduce their expenditure.

It appears unlikely that Rensch will extend his contract with Ajax. If a transfer is not completed in January, he could potentially become available on a free transfer in the summer of 2025.
