According to reports from L`Equipe, AS Roma is closely tracking RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the current season.
Haidara, a 27-year-old Mali international, began his career in the RB Salzburg academy before making a €19 million move to RB Leipzig in January 2019.
The midfielder has also been strongly linked with a potential transfer to Paris FC, with his estimated market value ranging between €20-25 million.
Roma Faces Stiff Competition for Haidara`s Signature
The French publication notes that while Roma has expressed interest, Paris FC remains the frontrunner in the race to sign Haidara. This is partly due to RB Leipzig`s minority stake in the Ligue 1 club.
Last season, Haidara featured in 40 matches across all competitions for RB Leipzig, providing two assists.
In other transfer news, Roma is finalizing the sale of winger Ola Solbakken to Nordsjaelland following his loan spells at Olympiacos, Urawa Reds, and Empoli. Reports from Tuttomercatoweb and Tipsbladet suggest that Solbakken will sign a contract until 2029, with the transfer fee estimated at around €1 million.
