Roma’s Sporting Director Discusses Transfer Targets and Team Strategy
Roma’s Sporting Director Florent Ghisolfi recently provided an update on the club’s transfer strategy and team dynamics. Speaking before the match against Genoa, Ghisolfi addressed rumors surrounding potential signings and the club’s approach to player recruitment.
Regarding the possible acquisition of Rensch from Ajax, Ghisolfi stated, “We’re working on bringing in a versatile player who can function as a right-back, in a three-man defense, or as a wide midfielder in a five-man midfield. We’re looking for someone who can provide consistency and possesses the right mentality to play for Roma.”
When asked about Frattesi, Ghisolfi diplomatically avoided discussing players from other teams, even those with ties to Roma. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming match against Genoa, noting the opponent’s strong away record under Vieira and Roma’s five consecutive home victories.
Ghisolfi also praised Claudio Ranieri’s impact on the team, describing him as a unique individual who has brought personality, calmness, and serenity to the club. He expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to work with Ranieri, highlighting the manager’s deep understanding of the team and its players.
“Ranieri has a dream of taking Roma to new heights,” Ghisolfi remarked, “and I’m committed to doing everything I can to support him in achieving that goal.”
