Sarri Targets Loftus-Cheek Reunion at Lazio

According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to bring AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek to the Italian capital. The pair previously worked together at Chelsea during the 2018-19 season, where Loftus-Cheek flourished under Sarri`s guidance.

During their time at Stamford Bridge, Loftus-Cheek made a significant impact, scoring 10 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions. His contributions helped Chelsea secure the Europa League title that season.

Sarri`s Long-Standing Interest in Loftus-Cheek

Sarri has been an admirer of Loftus-Cheek for some time, having attempted to bring the English midfielder to Lazio during his first stint at the club. Now back at the helm of the Biancocelesti, Sarri is eager to make another push for his former player.

Lazio`s Midfield Plans

While Loftus-Cheek remains a priority target for Sarri, reports linking Lazio with Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci appear to be unfounded. Pedullà clarifies that Ricci is not currently on Lazio`s radar, despite speculation from other media outlets.

However, Ricci has attracted interest from AC Milan. The Rossoneri seem to have shifted their focus to Club Brugge`s Ardon Jashari, reportedly making a €28 million bid for the 22-year-old Swiss international.

As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Sarri will succeed in reuniting with Loftus-Cheek and bolstering Lazio`s midfield for the upcoming season.
