Italy’s top-tier football league, Lega Serie A, has announced a significant partnership with UNAR (Ufficio Nazionale Antidiscriminazioni Razziali – the National Office for Anti-Racial Discrimination), an agency operating under the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Together, they are launching a comprehensive campaign aimed at combating racism within Italian football and wider society.
This timely initiative is set to roll out during the upcoming 29th and 30th matchdays of the Serie A championship. Its scheduling also strategically coincides with the XXII Week of Action Against Racism, an annual awareness event held from March 14th to 22nd. The campaign will feature specially designed graphics to be displayed across various platforms, reinforcing its core message of equality and inclusion.
A central component of the joint effort includes compelling appeals that will be delivered both before and after matches. These messages are designed to engage players, clubs, and fans, encouraging a united stand against all forms of racial discrimination and promoting a culture of respect and fairness throughout the sport.
