Serie A: AS Roma vs Bologna – Match Preview and Expected Lineups

Gian Piero Gasperini is set to make his Serie A coaching debut for Roma as they face Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico. The match is scheduled to kick off at 20:45 CET on a sold-out night in Rome.

Reports from Italian media suggest that Gasperini may opt to start Brighton loanee Evan Ferguson as the central striker, with Neil El Aynaoui and Matias Soulé in supporting roles. This decision would see Paulo Dybala and Artem Dovbyk begin the game on the bench.

Gasperini previously mentioned that Dybala was not fit enough for a full 90 minutes, indicating he would either start or be used as a substitute. Current predictions lean towards the latter option.

Roma will be without the injured Lorenzo Pellegrini and Leon Bailey, while Zeki Celik serves a one-match suspension.

Bologna returns to the Olimpico three months after their historic Coppa Italia triumph over Milan. Italy international Ciro Immobile is expected to lead the attack for Bologna, though they will miss Emil Holm due to injury and Juan Miranda through suspension.

TV Broadcast Information

The match will be available live on DAZN in the UK and Ireland, and on Paramount+ for viewers in the USA.
