Sevilla Postpones Interest in Lokomotiv Moscow Defender
Spanish club Sevilla FC has reportedly suspended negotiations with Lokomotiv Moscow regarding the transfer of defender Nair Tiknizyan. The La Liga side has decided against making an offer for the 25-year-old Armenian international during the winter transfer window.
Sources suggest that while discussions have been paused, there’s a possibility that the two clubs may resume talks about a potential deal in the summer. This development follows a statement by Lokomotiv Moscow’s head coach, Mikhail Galaktionov, who previously mentioned that the club had not received any formal offers for Tiknizyan.
The versatile defender has been in impressive form this season, featuring in 23 matches across all competitions. His contributions include two goals and three assists, showcasing his offensive capabilities alongside his defensive duties.
According to Transfermarkt, Tiknizyan’s current market value is estimated at 6 million euros. His contract with Lokomotiv Moscow extends until the summer of 2026, giving the Russian club a strong negotiating position for any future transfer discussions.
While Sevilla’s interest appears to have cooled for now, Tiknizyan’s performances continue to attract attention. The upcoming months will reveal whether Sevilla or other clubs decide to pursue the talented defender more aggressively in the next transfer window.
