According to reports, Sevilla has rejected Napoli`s increased bid of €17 million for defender Juanlu Sanchez. The Spanish club is holding out for a minimum of €20 million, plus a 20% sell-on clause.
Earlier rumors suggested that Napoli had matched Wolverhampton Wanderers` offer for the young right-back. However, recent updates indicate that Sevilla found Napoli`s proposal insufficient compared to their expectations.
Transfer Negotiations Intensify
Sevilla`s stance on Juanlu`s transfer remains firm. They are seeking €20 million including bonuses, along with a substantial 20% share of any future sale. This demand poses a challenge for Napoli, as the Italian club typically avoids such high sell-on agreements.
Juanlu, who will turn 22 this month, recently extended his contract with Sevilla until June 2029. The talented defender, a product of Sevilla`s youth academy, has already made 59 appearances in LaLiga.
As negotiations continue, it remains to be seen whether Napoli will meet Sevilla`s demands or if other interested parties, such as Wolverhampton Wanderers, will step in with a more appealing offer.
