Eldor Shomurodov has finalized his move from Roma to Istanbul Basaksehir. The transfer involves a loan agreement with an option to purchase, totaling 7 million euros. The Turkish club`s presentation highlighted Shomurodov`s Uzbek heritage.

The deal structure reportedly includes a 3 million euro loan fee, with an option to buy set at 3 million euros plus 1 million in bonuses. Additionally, Roma will receive a percentage of any future transfer fee.

Shomurodov`s Roma Journey Ends After Four Years

The 30-year-old striker joined Roma from Genoa in 2021 for 19.6 million euros. During his time with the Giallorossi, he also had loan spells at Spezia and Cagliari.

Shomurodov`s Roma career concludes with 13 goals and 11 assists in 85 appearances across all competitions, though he rarely featured in the starting lineup. His most productive season was the last one, where he netted 7 goals and provided 5 assists in 37 matches.

Istanbul Basaksehir`s announcement video emphasized Shomurodov`s status as Uzbekistan`s all-time leading scorer and his role in helping the national team qualify for their first-ever World Cup in 2026.
