SKA Coach Roman Rotenberg’s Slip of the Tongue Regarding Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe
During a post-match press conference following SKA’s 4-2 victory over Vityaz in the KHL Championship, head coach Roman Rotenberg made an unexpected verbal error when referring to Real Madrid’s star forward Kylian Mbappe.
The press service of the Moscow Region club released a video of the conference where Rotenberg mistakenly called the French footballer “Kylian Embappe”.
Rotenberg stated, “Defensive play in hockey, much like in football, is a team effort. Take football as an example: even superstar players like Embappe at Real Madrid are required to contribute defensively. Despite possibly being one of the world’s best attackers, he too must put in the work on defense.”
Currently, SKA holds the sixth position in the Western Conference table with 67 points from 53 matches. Meanwhile, Vityaz suffered its fifth consecutive defeat, placing them tenth in the West with 44 points from 52 games.
