Milan Skriniar, the former Inter Milan defender now playing for Paris Saint-Germain, has expressed interest in a potential move to Napoli. The 30-year-old center-back, who has long been associated with a transfer to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, recently commented on the possibility during Marek Hamsik`s farewell testimonial event.
When asked about the prospect of joining Napoli, Skriniar responded enthusiastically, “Stanislav Lobotka is one of my closest friends, so we`ll see what happens. The future is open!” He added, “Of course, I`d be thrilled to play alongside Lobotka. At this point, I`m keeping all options open.”
Skriniar also expressed his admiration for Hamsik, stating, “I`m delighted for Hamsik. He`s a true legend for both Napoli and Slovakia. Participating in his testimonial match will be an incredible experience.”
The Slovak defender joined PSG as a free agent in 2023 and was loaned to Fenerbahce six months later. There are speculations about extending his loan, making it permanent, or potentially moving to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.
Skriniar`s career in Italy began with Sampdoria in 2016, followed by a €34 million transfer to Inter Milan just a year later. His current contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until June 2028, leaving room for potential moves in the coming years.
