Recent reports confirm that Sporting CP has made a €20 million offer for Juventus defender Alberto Costa. The Portuguese player is enthusiastic about the potential move back to his home country, just six months after joining Juventus from Vitoria Guimaraes.
Costa`s initial transfer to Juventus was valued at €12.5 million, paid in four installments, with potential add-ons of up to €2.5 million and €1.3 million in additional costs.
Costa Eager for Sporting Return
The 21-year-old has made 14 appearances for Juventus, providing three assists, but has only started in seven matches. The prospect of more regular playing time in Portugal has made Costa keen on the transfer to Sporting.
While Sporting`s €20 million bid is currently insufficient, it could be increased with performance-related bonuses to meet Juventus` valuation.
Interestingly, during these negotiations, Juventus has also expressed interest in Sporting`s midfielder Morten Hjulmand, potentially complicating the deal further.
