Spurs Lead Race for Talented Free Agent Midfielder

After a disappointing season, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to strengthen their squad this summer. The club currently sits 14th in the Premier League and faces an uphill battle to qualify for European competition next season.

The versatile midfielder can play as a number 8, 10 or 6, offering valuable flexibility. His technical ability and press resistance have drawn comparisons to Arsenal’s Declan Rice, with Gomes potentially becoming Spurs’ own version of the England international.

While smaller in stature than Rice at 5’6″, Gomes makes up for it with his skill on the ball. He averages similar numbers to Rice in key areas like progressive passes and successful take-ons per 90 minutes.
