BRATISLAVA (SLOVAKIA) – While David Hancko claimed the prestigious award for Slovak Player of the Year, Stanislav Lobotka still had reasons to be pleased. The Napoli midfielder, present at the ceremony, extended his congratulations to his national teammate, the Atlético Madrid defender, who received the esteemed recognition. “I’m happy to be among the top three. Hancko had an extraordinary season, both with the national team and his club, and he truly deserved this award. Besides being a great player, he’s also a fantastic person, so I’m thrilled for him,” Lobotka stated.
Lobotka’s Unreserved Praise for Conte: ‘He Helped Me Exceed My Boundaries at Napoli’
During the gala evening, the former Celta Vigo player spoke glowingly about his Napoli coach, Antonio Conte, with whom he shares a complete understanding. “He is an extraordinary coach; he has a clear philosophy and is a winner,” Lobotka affirmed. “With him, I pushed my physical and mental limits higher than I ever thought possible. I used to believe I couldn’t do certain things, but I’ve realized that a lot depends on your mindset. The program,” the 1994-born player explained, “is very intense, and you only have one body, so you must take care of it. I try to sleep well, recover, and improve every day. The goal is always to give one percent more.”
