Strasbourg Defender Marvin Senaya Joins Lausanne on Loan
Racing Club de Strasbourg has confirmed that defender Marvin Senaya, 23, will be joining Swiss club Lausanne on a temporary basis. The young right-back has had limited opportunities under manager Liam Rosenior this season, making only one start in Ligue 1 and accumulating a mere 220 minutes of playing time.
Senaya has found himself behind Guéla Doué in the team’s defensive hierarchy, resulting in just 10 appearances for Strasbourg this season. Despite having a contract with the French club until 2027, the decision was made to loan him out to Lausanne-Sport for the remainder of the current campaign.
It’s worth noting that the loan agreement does not include an option for Lausanne to purchase Senaya at the end of the spell. This move marks Strasbourg’s seventh loan departure of the winter transfer window, following the temporary exits of several other players including Abakar Sow, Junior Mwanga, Sebas, Stefan Lukovic, Mamadou Ouotro, and Ali.
This loan opportunity could provide Senaya with valuable playing time and experience in the Swiss league, potentially aiding his development and future prospects with Strasbourg upon his return.
