Strasbourg’s Young Talent Jérémy Sebas Joins Bastia on Loan
RC Strasbourg has agreed to a short-term loan deal for their young forward Jérémy Sebas. The 21-year-old Martinique-born talent will spend the next six months with SC Bastia in Ligue 2, aiming to gain more playing experience.
The loan arrangement, finalized on Monday, does not include an option for Bastia to purchase Sebas at the end of the term. This move comes as Bastia struggles with form, having won only one competitive match since the beginning of 2025 and facing scoring difficulties in recent games.
Sebas, who signed his first professional contract with Strasbourg in June 2023, has made 13 appearances in Ligue 1 this season and participated in three Coupe de France matches. His most recent appearance for Strasbourg was as a substitute in their 1-0 loss to Stade Rennais on Sunday.
Throughout his time with Strasbourg, Sebas has featured in 30 matches across all competitions, contributing two goals and one assist. The young forward has also represented Martinique in five international matches, following his stint with the France U-20 team.
This loan move presents an opportunity for Sebas to further develop his skills and gain valuable playing time in a competitive environment. It also allows Strasbourg to monitor his progress while providing him with the chance to make a significant impact at Bastia.
