Tedesco Declines Schalke’s Managerial Offer
According to Sport Bild, Domenico Tedesco, who previously managed Spartak Moscow and the Belgian national team, has declined an offer to take charge of Schalke, a club currently competing in Germany’s second-tier Bundesliga.
Sources indicate that Tedesco was not interested in managing a team in Germany’s second division. Following this rejection, Schalke has reportedly shifted its focus to Raul, who currently leads Real Madrid’s reserve team, Castilla.
Tedesco’s tenure as Belgium’s national coach lasted from February 2023 to January 2025. Under his guidance, the team reached the Round of 16 in Euro 2024 and finished third in their Nations League group. However, the team’s performance declined towards the end of his leadership, with only one victory in their final eight matches.
