Theo Hernandez’s Lavish Christmas: Milan Defender Showcases Pricey Wine Collection
AC Milan’s French left-back Theo Hernandez embraced the holiday spirit with a touch of luxury. The defender took to Instagram to share images of three bottles of Petrus, one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious red wines. This Merlot-based wine, produced in the Pomerol region of Gironde, is aged for approximately 21 months in oak barrels.
The vintages displayed by Hernandez (1992, 1998, and 2015) are estimated to be worth around €15,000 collectively. The 2015 vintage, in particular, is highly regarded and fetches a minimum price of €6,500 per bottle. Wine connoisseurs describe it as having “glazed notes of currant, vegetal nuances, sweet spices, carob, and a balsamic hint, leading to a dynamic and lively palate.”
This extravagant display comes at a time when Hernandez is facing challenges on the pitch. He has been benched in recent matches against Genoa and Verona, with coach Fonseca favoring Alex Jimenez. The defender’s performance this season has fallen short of expectations, fueling transfer speculations. Despite his contract with Milan running until 2026, negotiations for a renewal are ongoing with his agent Quilon.
Determined to bounce back, Hernandez has cut short his holiday break to focus on training for the upcoming match against Roma. This dedication demonstrates his commitment to regaining form and silencing critics as the season progresses.
