Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided an update on the condition of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and midfielder Jude Bellingham following their 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
Speaking after the game, Ancelotti said, “Bellingham has returned in good shape. Courtois has some minor issues, but I think he will recover quickly by Wednesday.” He added, “Bellingham played well. As I said, I really liked the first half because we pressed strongly. We could have made it 3-0 after intercepting the ball, we played intensely and with quality. In the second half, we lowered our level.”
Real Madrid is set to play against Atletico Madrid on March 12 in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie. The first leg concluded with a 2-1 victory for Real Madrid.
