A representative of Sandro Tonali, Marianna Mecacci, stated that the Italian midfielder is keen to embrace the ‘Premier League opportunity.’ However, she also noted that it’s ‘impossible’ to dismiss the prospect of his eventual return to Serie A.
Tonali’s move to Newcastle from Milan in 2023 was valued at approximately €60 million. Since returning from a ban earlier this season, he has been a significant player for the Premier League club.
Marianna Mecacci was directly questioned about whether the former Milan star might consider a return to Italy in the future.

“It’s difficult to predict. He is a valuable asset to Italian football; it’s inspiring to see someone overcome challenges and grow,” she responded in an interview.
“I’ve been following his career since his time at Brescia, and his transfer to England was truly remarkable.”
Tonali has long supported Milan, and his transfer to Newcastle two years ago undoubtedly disappointed some fans. Many fans are now using social media to urge Tonali to come back to Milan.
“I understand that it caused some discontent. Tonali, a devoted Milan fan, was sold for a record sum. It was also a decision motivated by seeking a new challenge,” Mecacci explained.
“As long as the Premier League provides opportunities, he will pursue them, but it’s hard to imagine that he won’t play in Italian football again.”
The timeline for such a return is uncertain. Tonali’s agent, Beppe Riso, recently commented on the midfielder’s future, suggesting that currently, no Serie A club has the financial capacity to acquire him.
