Torino Makes New Offer to Chelsea for Casadei Transfer
According to reports, Torino has made a fresh proposal to Chelsea for the transfer of Cesare Casadei. The Italian club met with Chelsea representatives and Casadei’s agent today, offering €9 million plus bonuses and a 40% sell-on clause.
Casadei, an Italy U21 international, joined Chelsea from Inter Milan in 2022 for nearly €15 million. After loan spells at Reading and Leicester City, the midfielder is now seeking a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.
Serie A clubs Torino and Lazio are leading the race for Casadei’s signature, with AS Monaco also expressing interest. Torino’s sporting director Davide Vagnati traveled to London for negotiations, hoping their improved offer would be enough to secure the player.
The proposed deal includes a significant sell-on percentage for Chelsea, which could prove attractive to the English club. However, recent reports suggest Casadei may prefer a move to Lazio for the next stage of his career.
As the January transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Torino’s latest offer will be sufficient to convince both Chelsea and Casadei to agree to the move.
