Tottenham Consider £10M Manager as Postecoglou Replacement Instead of Iraola
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering Brentford manager Thomas Frank as a potential replacement for Ange Postecoglou, should the Australian depart the North London club. Chairman Daniel Levy has been compiling a list of candidates, with Frank emerging as a strong contender.
According to recent reports, Spurs aim to appoint a new manager before the summer transfer window opens on June 1st. The Premier League has announced two separate transfer windows this year, with the first running from June 1st to June 10th, and the second from June 16th to September 1st.
While Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva were initially considered top candidates, Frank has now become a priority target. The Danish manager has impressed with his work at Brentford, transforming them into a stable Premier League side.
Frank’s contract reportedly includes a £10 million release clause, which would allow Tottenham to bypass negotiations with Brentford. Despite the significant investment required, Frank is highly regarded in the football community, with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praising him as “one of the best” in the business.
Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain, with the club experiencing a challenging season. The Australian manager recently admitted he was unsure about his position for next season, focusing instead on the team’s immediate fixtures and goals.
As Tottenham consider their options, Frank’s proven track record in the Premier League and his readiness for a new challenge make him an attractive candidate for the potential managerial vacancy at the North London club.
