Tottenham Hotspur`s sporting directors Fabio Paratici and Johan Lange are reportedly preparing a significant bid for a new defender. The club is said to be eyeing Lazio`s Mario Gila as a potential addition to their backline.

According to reports, Tottenham are seriously considering a January move for Lazio defender Mario Gila. The club is emerging as a “serious candidate” to sign the 25-year-old Spanish center-back. Lazio values Gila at approximately £39-43 million, a price that Tottenham appears willing to meet.
Gila, a former Real Madrid youth player, has also attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, including Brighton and Bournemouth. However, Tottenham`s readiness to meet Lazio`s valuation could give them an advantage in negotiations.
