Tottenham defender’s struggles continue in international match

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro had another disappointing performance, this time for Spain in their 2-2 draw against the Netherlands. Porro lost possession 15 times and failed to create any key chances, earning a low 4/10 rating from observers.

This continues a trend of underwhelming form for Porro this season at Tottenham. With the club reportedly pursuing Wolverhampton’s Rayan Ait-Nouri and other defensive options, Porro’s place in the starting lineup is looking increasingly uncertain.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has relied heavily on Porro, but the defender’s defensive vulnerabilities and lack of offensive impact have become more apparent. The potential return of Djed Spence could also push Porro further down the depth chart.

While Porro has shown promise in the past, his struggles this season may lead Tottenham to consider selling him this summer. The club appears ready to reshape its defensive unit, and Porro’s recent performances suggest he may not be part of those long-term plans.

As Tottenham look to improve their form and push for European qualification, Porro will need to significantly elevate his play to secure his future at the club. Otherwise, his time in North London may be coming to an end sooner rather than later.
