Tottenham emerge as possible landing spot for £33m Barcelona striker
Barcelona are working to find a new club for one of their young forwards in 2025, with Tottenham Hotspur potentially in the running to sign him.
According to reports from Spain, Barcelona striker Vitor Roque could join Spurs next year as the Catalan club aims to offload the £33 million Brazilian. Tottenham are said to be one potential destination for Roque, alongside Palmeiras and two unnamed Italian sides.
The 18-year-old is currently on loan at Real Betis, where he has been impressing. However, Betis are unlikely to be able to afford activating their purchase option on Roque.
This could present an opportunity for Tottenham’s technical director Johan Lange to make a move for the highly-rated young forward. Spurs have previously shown interest in Roque, so he appears to be a long-term target for the North London club.
With manager Ange Postecoglou looking to strengthen his squad, Roque could be an exciting attacking option to pursue in the summer transfer window. Barcelona’s willingness to sell may allow Tottenham to snap up a promising talent at a reasonable price.
As Spurs continue building for the future under Postecoglou, adding a young striker like Roque to complement Harry Kane could be a shrewd piece of business. However, they are likely to face competition from other clubs for his signature.
