Tottenham Pursuing Loan Deal for AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori

Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the latest Premier League club to express interest in AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori. The North London side are exploring the possibility of bringing the English center-back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Spurs are keen to bolster their defensive options before the January transfer window closes, and Tomori has been identified as a prime target. The 26-year-old has previously been linked with moves to other clubs, including Juventus and Aston Villa, but those potential transfers did not materialize.

Tomori initially fell out of favor under former Milan manager Paulo Fonseca at the start of the current season. However, he has since regained his place in the starting lineup following the appointment of Sergio Conceicao as head coach in late December.

The former Chelsea academy product has featured in 21 matches across all competitions for the Rossoneri this season. Notably, he played a key role in Milan’s recent Supercoppa Italiana triumph in Saudi Arabia, where they defeated both Juventus and Inter to claim their first trophy since winning the Serie A title in 2021-22.

As Tottenham look to secure Tomori’s services, it remains to be seen whether AC Milan will be willing to part ways with the defender, even on a temporary basis. The Italian giants may be reluctant to weaken their squad depth, particularly given Tomori’s recent resurgence under Conceicao’s management.

With the transfer deadline approaching, Tottenham will need to act swiftly if they hope to finalize a deal for Tomori and add him to their defensive ranks for the crucial second half of the season.
