Tottenham’s Rising Star: Young Talent’s Value Soars 1475% This Season
While Tottenham Hotspur’s current Premier League campaign hasn’t met expectations, the club has reason for optimism due to the emergence of several promising young talents. Three Spurs prospects have been recognized in Goal’s NXGN 2025 list, which highlights the top 50 young players in world football.
Archie Gray, who joined Tottenham from Leeds United last summer for £30 million, ranks 13th on the list. The versatile 18-year-old has impressed in both midfield and defense, making 38 first-team appearances this season.
Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall, signed for £8.5 million last winter, sits at 17th on the list. The 18-year-old has quickly adapted to Premier League football, contributing 1 goal and 4 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
However, the most remarkable rise belongs to 17-year-old winger Mikey Moore, who ranks 22nd on the NXGN list. Moore has been prolific at the youth level, scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists in 34 appearances for Tottenham’s various youth teams.
Moore’s performances have caught the eye of senior players, with teammate James Maddison comparing him to Neymar. The youngster has also drawn comparisons to Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
Most impressively, Moore’s market value has exploded this season. In October, he was valued at just €1 million (£800,000). Today, his estimated worth has soared to €15 million (£12.6 million) – a staggering 1475% increase in less than a year.
While Tottenham’s season may not have gone as planned, the emergence of talents like Gray, Bergvall, and Moore provides hope for a bright future at the North London club.
