Scottish international midfielder Lennon Miller is poised to join Udinese, with medical examinations scheduled for Tuesday. The transfer is reportedly valued at €5 million.
The promising youngster, who will turn 19 this month, has already departed Scotland for Italy to finalize the move. Despite interest from other clubs including Ipswich Town, Bologna, and Torino, Udinese successfully secured Miller`s signature.
Miller, a product of Motherwell`s youth academy, has already earned two caps for the Scottish national team. He joins a growing contingent of Scottish players in Serie A, following in the footsteps of Lewis Ferguson at Bologna, Che Adams at Torino, and Liam Henderson at Sampdoria.
With 49 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, Miller has demonstrated his potential with two goals and eight assists. His move to Udinese represents a significant step in his career and adds depth to the Italian club`s midfield options.
Udinese`s acquisition of Miller comes after their pursuit of free agent Axel Witsel fell through, with the player opting to join FC Girona instead. The Italian club will be hoping that Miller can make an immediate impact and contribute to their Serie A campaign.
