Vieri Predicted Liverpool’s Champions League Exit
Despite Liverpool being considered a strong contender for the Champions League title, Vieri stated before the match that PSG was in top form and difficult to dispossess.
During his appearance as a pundit on CBS’s Champions League broadcast, Vieri shared his predictions: “I foresee PSG and Barcelona as the two finalists. Both are attacking teams.”
“PSG is currently in their best form this year. Their performance last week was unlike anything I’ve seen in the past several years. Tonight will be a test to see if PSG is truly a top-tier team, playing at the challenging Anfield.”
He added, “Liverpool is a fantastic team and leads the league, but PSG controls the game. It’s very challenging to take the ball from them; they dominate possession, often holding it for 70% of the match, leaving little opportunity for their opponents. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain this level of performance away from home.”
